Tauron, Adama Family Home.
Ten days before the destruction of the twelve colonies of Kobol

A stiff wind blew over the grey rocks surrounding Joseph Adamas Summer house on Tauron, sending 88 year old Joseph Adama into chills.

Sixteen years had passed since Joseph had last seen his protoje, and if it wern't for simple curiosity, he wouldn't have opened the messege sent by curior to him from Romo Lampkin. He pondered its' exciting details reguarding the possibility that his late grandson, Zack Adama, wasn't as dead as he had thought. Though if what Romo said was true, Zack might have been better off if he had died.

Joseph looked over the note once more as he entered his car and drove off towards Tauron Interplanetary Spaceport.

"From: Romo Lampkin, Caprica Litigations office,
To Joseph Adama.

Mr. Adama, It has recently come to my attention (at gunpoint I might add), that the New Ha'la'tha Crime Syndicate claims that Zack Adama is alive, and are holding him as their... prisoner, due to our involvement in bringing down what was left of your old friend Guatrau's family.

As a result I find myself in a bit of a Legal bind. Technically I could reveal this to the police and it would help my case against the ongoing trial against Sally "Guatrau", but it would also mean the end of Zacks life.

Now I personally know you as a bastard who would sell his own soul in order to win a case, and win it through any means necessary. In my opinion, this threat of theirs is a case in of itself, that you might want to deal with yourself. Meet me at the Sagittaron Law Office in six days. I'll be leaving Caprica in five days.

Carpe Diem Joseph, Romo.

Romo Lampkin barely fidgited as one of Saggitarons nortoriously grotesque and poisionous Red Wasps landed on his shoulder. Slightly annoyed, he quickly swatted it with the newspaper that he had brought from Caprica, staining its front page.

Glancing at Saggitarion's unique religious archetecture, Romo smiled at the Sagittaron's spiritual protrayal of the Sagittaron uprising against Caprica 232 years ago, with Jupiter leading the Sagitarrons to victory over Mars and Athena (representing Caprica and it's citizens.) Romo knew of course that Caprica had won the war, and forced Saggitaron to cede one of it's island chains along with most of it's dignity for 50 years afterward.

After a knock on the door, one of Romo's many secretarys, (that he had just on Sagittaron) told him "Joseph Adama is here to see you sir."

Straightening his jacket, and occasionaly fiddiling with his pen, Romo waited patiently, untill the slouched, wrinkly and diseased looking form of Joseph Adama slowly made it's way into Romo's study.

"Looking all the worse for wear I see." Romo said. Joseph simply smiled in responce as he carefully took a seat across from Romo and then replied forcefully, "I'm not here to jack you off Romo, where's my grandson?"

Romo noticed that Joseph's eye's twitched every few minuites, and realized that Joseph's chance of surviving what he was about to prepose was becoming more remote with each passing second.

"Here" Romo said as he slid a stack of papers across the desk to Joseph. Joseph's eyes widened as he read the Colonial Military's unofficial report on Joseph Adama's death. To the causal observer, (and to the Military), there was no way that Zack could have survived his Vipers explosion. At the time, the board had ruled it as an Accident caused by careless flying, and sent it's condolances to himself and Commander "William" Adama, Joseph's son and Zacks ever-distant father.

There was one detail that stood out however. "They didn't find a body" Joseph said amazed. Romo replied, "They assumed that it was burned up in the explosion or vented into space, but any crime scene investigator can tell you, no body is no evidence, one way or the other, to determine if Zack was dead or not.

"Why didn't they do a DNA necrosis test on the remains of the craft." Joseph pondered. "That is exactly what I was thinking, as it says further down the line, the investigation into the crash was conducted by a Lt. Saline Gierrie ."

Joseph stared across the room at Romo and replied, "This is great Romo, but it doesn"t tell me wither or not the Guatrau was behind his dissapearance."

"I've heard of several Saline's in my lifetime Mr. Adama, one of them was a defendant in the second to last case that you ever handled on Caprica. Specifically, a Mrs. Saline Vierr, a known member of the Ha'la'tha who we knew went by several alias', one of which was Gierrie.

"I thought we had taken them down Romo!" Joseph said, frustrated at this turn of events. "Just because you told the Ha'la'tha to piss off by turning on your former employers, doens't mean that they would willingly turn themselves in. It took us years to find everyone that Larry had ratted on."

"And now when you are about to give the death penalty to the last of the old Ha'la'tha, a new branch appears." Joseph realized. "Cut a worm in half, and you get two problems instead of one" Romo replied as he gave Joseph a glass of Tauron Ale.

"Look." Joseph said as he pointed his finger at the paper, "This still doesn't prove that they have my Zack, also, I no longer have any money to give, my address is listed in the Colonial Directory, and William Adama is a much more valuable resorce than myself for extortion."

"Dare I say it?" Romo began. "Don't even, I'm tired of hearing it." Joseph said as he stood up and walked over to Joseph.

"Where do they want to meet me?" Joseph replied. "Outside" Romo said quietly as there was a quick rasp on the door to the office. "You son of a bitch" Joseph fumed. "No no, If they'd wanted to kill you, they'd have done it on Tauron. Just talk with them and we'll sort it out later." Lampkin replied.

Joseph nodded, still clearly pissed at Romo, and opened the door.

One day before the 2nd cylon war, 3.4 miles underneath Aerelon's Crust

Simon, how long until those samples are harvested? Asked young and dischevled Sally Belmont as she wiped grime off of her face.

"Only two more minuites, just let me adjust for the radioactive isotopes found in its outer matrix."

"Very well." Sally affirmed as she sat down on a nearby stool to calculate the necessary energy required to successfuly contain the nearby relic of the 1st cylon war found on the remains of an old and rusted cylon centurion deep within a network of caves found in a Colonial excivation of a former cylon staging ground that had been used during the 1st cylon war.

It wasn't long until Edward Rayne, A palentologist who had dabbled in archeology and computer circutry during his apprentaceship to a leading official from the Colonial Cylon War Memorial Museum, successfully removed the unusual looking weapons-fire scarring found on the cylon's metal and placed it in Dr. Belmonts container.

"We should head back topside and return this sample to the Colonial Museum before we risk the sample degrading. Remarked Dr. Belmont as she gently placed the container inside of her bag and zipped it closed.

Agreed, but I would rather see if anything else lies in this cave before I return topside and make a return trip. Dr. Rayne noted.

Dr. Belmont promptly looked at her watch and nodded. "We aren't due back until 1800 hours". She informed as her eyes squinted in the dim light given off by the flare placed on the ground next to her feet with the light from Dr. Rayne's helmet-flashlight pointing off in the distance towards what she noted to be the gleam of metal.

After securing the equpment to their bodies and grabbing their spelunking equipment, both scientists carefully made their way towards what both of them hoped to be the proof of their theory.
